Precision clock /master clock / super clock

The internet is full of information about upgrading CD players with a better clock. The crystal oscillator of standard players is being replaced by a more accurate device and it is supposed to improve the sound. The role of the clock is to trigger electronic switches or gates inside various chips, chiefly the DAC, to precisely and on time re-create current pulses corresponding to digital signal information. I understand the principle but I can't swear I hear any difference.
On the assumption that it should not hurt, I install a clock  in every worthy  CDP which I lampize. It sounds at lest as good as before installation and I can sleep better. I don't believe that JITTER is a big issue in sound quality, at least it is a whole magnitude smaller contributor than these horrible output stages which my lampizator replaces entirely.
What I can say, is that the sound with a clock is more coherent, and left/right information is recreated more precisely, and this in turns leads to better hallucinations, illusion of recorded time and space, better background accoustic recreation. Definitely all these aspects are WANTED.

This is one Polish made clock which I tried and liked. (AUDIOAMP)

Another Polish clock from DS Audio. Not yet tried. The author tried to conceal his trick of the trade by some ugly grey goo.

This is a very very nice clock from DeTom (Poland). I tried 2 and liked them both.

The big thing about using the aftermarket clock is that the mother PCB is free from the strong ultrasonic oscillations of the quarts which contaminates all circuits and the ground too. With external clock in my opinion more benefit is resulting from the fact, that the clock associated noise stays on the clock PCB and the power supply should be separate - usually a small transformer dedicated only to supplying the clock - than is resulting from the better quartz accuracy .  Both factors combined do bring benefits without a doubt.

If you ask me what is the most audible effect - it is the improved effect of  teletransportation to the recorded event. We feel like being there, the nuances of recording background are palapable. Our brain is better fooled which is a pleasant and desired effect.
