Sanyo has been for years a leader in dry polymere technology that replaces traditional wet paper electrolytes. This technology is great for a number of reasons:
-Does not age at all
-Has two orders of magnitude lower impedance (ESR)
-Has an order of magnitude higher frequency response
-Does not drift with temperature
For audio it is the nearest thing to perfection, beating even the famous violet Oscons SE type. In the face of disappearance of black gates from the market, this is the cap of choice for audiophiles.
Works equally well in analog as well as digital circuits.
Can be used as motherboard overall upgrade cap for tuning old CD players, for voltage regulator output caps, digital or analog signal decoupling, for op-amps power supply, etc etc. I use it for tube cathode blocking (Cathode resistor bypass) where Uk is usually around 2-3 Volts.
The voltage rating is 6 V and you CAN NOT push the SEPC above the rating. Use it only for 5V and 3,3 V circuits.
This cap is usually a part of our own TDA1541 CAP BAG with upgrade capacitors.
